Dining in style at A Garden: Culinary delights await lovers of European food at one of the newest restaurants in town. In a quiet corner off Sukhumvit 51 lies A Garden Cafe and Restaurant, an enclave of lush greenery, tall trees and exotic plants and flowers.Spotlessly clean inside and out, the restaurant's white motif and overall design, a fusion of Victorian and contemporary styles, lend a truly relaxing and cozy ambience. A Garden used to be a classic residential house redesigned to give it a touch of modernity. Different architectural designs representing different European countries adorn one side of the wall upstairs. Flower paintings on the walls evince a sense of calmness and warmth, giving the whole place a homey feel. Conspicuously located in the centre of the restaurant is a wine cellar. It has a wide collection of the finest wines from Europe, particularly from Italy, France and Chile. Scallops of fine cloth serve as an exquisite ceiling downstairs. On one side is a glass panel with cascading water overlooking a garden.Most of the restaurant's guests prefer to dine in the wood-tiled patio. The tall trees around provide a canopy making it a real treat for al fresco dining. After meal, some guests would amble into the garden for a drink or two at the open-air bar. On the background is light jazz music, which adds to the romantic setting of the place.
Children are always welcome here. In fact, there are plans to open a regular Sunday brunch for children beginning October or November this year. The planned Sunday brunch would include shows, games and other activities

What's special about A Garden it is perfect for both elegant and casual dining. There are no dress codes here and prices are competitive. Food and drinks are much affordable here than those in hotel restaurants We recently visited A Garden to sample its French offering, and it was a delightful experience. For appetizer, we had prawns with citrus dressing. The dish was a beautiful mixture of sweet and sour cream garnished with garden salad.
